These spam calls with international numbers, mostly from African and Southeast Asian countries, along with fake messages from unknown users, have flooded WhatsApp and Indians have nowhere to go but Twitter to share their ordeal.
Asian man called at 1pm today. Asked to confirm my name but would not answer my request as to who he was. When I would not confirm my name he became abusive calling me a mother***** and saying what he would like to do to my wife... Quite a tirade !!
An Indian sounding man was asking if I had a credit card & mortgage and asked my address & postcode.
rang at 7.00 am abd said nothing
rang at 6.15am and hung up when I lifted the receiver.
An Indian sounding man wanted to confirm my post code, but hung up when I said I wouldn't answer any question until I understood the nature of the call.
