Warning over 'dial 1' phone scam in Australia
Scamwatch posted a tweet today saying people had been receiving phone calls with automated messages that pretended to inform the listener of a problem.

The number is a Liverpool registered number. If you press 1471 and then 3 it rings them back. It then gives you an option to press 9 and opt out of receiving anymore calls from them. Not sure if that works.. but guess I'll soon find out, as they had rung once a day for 3 days so far! I had NOT given them permission, nor do i ever give out my home number. Scammers! VERY ANNOYING
