Phishing warning: criminals abuse Black Friday hype
The weeks of offers around “Black Friday“ have begun. Online scammers use the opportunity to lure victims with fake warnings about unauthorized access, for example from the Netherlands. In the phishing radar, the consumer advice centers warn that fraudulent emails have been circulating since Friday stating that…
I used to get bulk calls from this number. I later came to know that the company behind these calls is Simply Outbound and that they have also provided a grievance cell number in case you do not wish to be contacted by them. I contacted the grievance cell and told them to stop calling me. The person who picked up the phone listened to my problems patiently and then assured me that they will never bother me for any kind of survey. True to their promise, any agent from Simply Outbound has not called me up since then.
I was getting about 3 calls a day from this number and was so annoyed that I stopped picking up calls from unknown numbers. But then I saw in this site that this caller, which turns out to be a survey company, has a grievance cell number. I called them up and politely asked to stop calling me. They patiently listened to my woes and assured me that I won’t receive any further calls from them. A week has passed since and I haven’t got a single call. It’s not that I miss them, but good work!
I was getting calls from this number for quite some time now. I wanted the calls to stop at any cost. Therefore, I called the grievance cell number provided by the company to put an end to this. They promptly took action and I have not received a single call from them. At first I thought this might be a scam. But turns out it is a legitimate UK-based company doing lifestyle survey. I see no threat here.
I got calls from this number several times. At first I just ignored them. Later I found out that this number belongs to a lifestyle survey company. So I decided to carry on with the survey and be done with it. I participated in the survey which was a mix of household questions. Nothing seemed threatening. I mean, who will try to do me any harm by asking me whether I have a dog or not. Anyway, I don't want to make fun of people here. I just want to convey that the calling actually stopped after I took part in the survey. My advice, participate in the survey and be done with it. - Ava Fox
I prefer a quiet life with no unwanted phone calls and I want to keep it that way. That’s what I told Simply Outbound, the company responsible for calling me up four times a day, asking for some household data. They took prompt action. I did not get any calls after that.
I would like to say thanks to Simply Outbound for their prompt response and action. I used to get 4 calls a day from this number. But after I called their grievance cell and told them that I do not wish to be a part of their survey and don’t want any more calls, they happily obliged.
Thanks Simply Outbound. The calling actually has stopped after I called your grievance cell. That’s some pretty fast work.
First of all, I must admit that these calls were getting on my nerves. Taking part in the survey did not end the endless call streams. When I saw that a company took the onus and provided a grievance cell number with a promise not to call again, I thought, what are the odds? Let me give it a try. I called the number and told them the problems I was having. They took my details and promised me that I won’t be getting any calls from them. And it worked. I have not received a single call from this number or any number for the matter asking for a household survey. Thank you Simply Outbound!
