FAQU.S. officials proposed a record $300 million fine Wednesday over an alleged robocall scam they say involved more than five billion unsolicited calls to targeted consumers over three months.
These days, most of us have telephones that display the number that’s calling before we answer. This “feature” actually goes right back to the 1960s, and it’s known in North American English as Caller ID, although it doesn’t actually identify the caller, just the caller’s number.
voice said ring back for urgent ppi information - complete load of b*****s and more than likely a premium number that charges the earth - such calls should be banned by law with a heavy prison sentence - yet more of the cons we have to face in daily life
Did not answer, two missed calls in less than a week. Defo cold calling as I have already claimed PPI about 5 years ago and am not entitled to claim any more. Very annoying, I want to know how they got my number as i am very careful with my details!
