The service was created in 2011 in the Czech Republic. It is an online forum where the users can share their experience with phone numbers, both annoying (mostly telemarketing, surveys) and useful (e.g. couriers, offices)..
Since the beginning, the service has been received very well, which led to localization into more languages. Nowadays, the forum exists in more than 20 languages and 34 countries throughout the world.
The service is intended for anyone who wants to identify the owner of an unknown phone number. The creators of the forum have also recently created the mobile app Call Insider for Android phones. This app, which is connected to the database of the website reverse-phone-lookup.co.uk, also allows users to automatically block telemarketing numbers.
FAQOfficials say the scammers identify themselves as a member of local law enforcement, even using the names of real detectives, and demand payment in the form of gift cards to avoid being arrested on a warrant.

Unsolicited call
This number leaves messages about unclaimed refund in tax year of last year. I would expect a letter from the tax office to refer to this? So I do not answer back to this call, as I also not sure who it really is.
Asked for their manager and who to contact for complaint and they hung up. have previously asked them not to call and take me off their list. This should be illegal for them to pester you like this.

I got the same message as other's report here.
Repeated calls re PPI, nothing I try stops them. I've asked nicely, pressed the 'stop' button and asked to speak to a manager. They just hang up!
Reported them to ICO, but there needs to be lots of other reports before they will do anything.
called with prerecorded message about claiming a refund that I was due from last 10 years. Press 5 to continue it says - I don't think so. So I hung up.
Scam. Offering a refund and said if I didn't claim it today the amount due me would decrease.
Automated message that has been received a few times in the past couple of weeks saying that I'm due a refund. Does not say what it was but says press 5 to speak to an advisor and press 9 to unsubscribe. Pressed 9 to unsubscribe last week as is a Council number that they are calling but called again today. Pressed 5 to speak with someone so the number could be unsubscribed but when said I was with the Council they put the phone down.
